Ok, guys, we offered you a lot of lectures and exhibitions in the last weeks, now something different! Winter is coming, and from outside parties we go into clubs and concert halls. My first concert offer for you in this semester is th Angel City Outcast!

From California’s underground scenes and dicey juke joints, to big stages and international tours, Angel City Outcasts have come to be known as a unique and imaginative entity that continues to win over fans from all over the world. Kicking ass and taking names while shrouded in myth and lore, ACO is the Clint Eastwood of rock bands! Quite appropriately can Angel City Outcasts be described as Rock n Roll’s bastard child as the band was fathered by an eclectic bunch of musical forefathers including southern and hard rock, punk, classic country, blues and even soul and R&B.

The two ladies in the outfit are totally opposite characters – the chillingly charming, and soulful voice of Veronika Harcsa is accompanied by well known Hungarian chanteuse, Erzsi Kiss. Erzsi is famous for both her extraordinary way of singing in an unknown language, and also her outstanding stage performances, which have included many theatre and contemporary ballet plays. The bass player István Balahoczky is a well known musicians in the alternative music scene in Hungary; and dynamic drummer, Zsombor Dudás, and his accomplice on percussion, István Pápai, form the core of Erik’s other band, Amorf Ördögök.

underground above the city

The uppermost floor of Corvin department store and the huge rooftop terrace above is a significant location of the Budapest underground club scene of today. Its easy to find it, because its in the middle of Blaha Lujza square.From the left side of the building you can go up with elevator or by walk on a long stairway. If you take the elevator a kind boy will offer you little starter drink to buy, so the night can start before you step in to the place.

Skalar Music Hungary presents: Henry Rollins (US) Spoken Word

On the 7th of Febr, Hanry Rollins will be number at Ship A38. But before everybody would be happy, that Yeay, He has a concert here, I have to say, that it will be his spoken-word night. It means, that he will be speaking, speaking amd speaking...Have fun for that!

Budapest's biggest "underground" garden - Dürer kert

After Budapest lost the "best place ever" Kultiplex, got a new one, Dürer kert. Budapest biggest underground place is waiting everybody, who like electro, funk, jazz, reggae, ska, rock and hardcore music and concerts. Calm open air garden with stage, fast food from trailer-kitchen, and inside a chill area with "csocso" (table football), petanque, ping-pong, wifi, bar and 2 concert halls. The building was an old part of ELTE University, but now you dont feel the school atmosphere anymore.

To get there: Hop on trolley no 74/75 and take it to Zichy Géza street or ride the bus no. 7 to Cházár András and walk towards the City Park!

Random Wednesday in "MOST"

On the 13th of January will be the Random Wednesday in "MOST" (in english is Now). Lőrinc Barabás (he is a hungarian jazz trumpeter) and his friends will guide you from the modern jazz to the easy dancefloor music. This will be smooth, nice and fun.
The "MOST" is really friendly place not just for parties but for a coffee or a drink too.

Hi everybody!

This is our first party recommandation for you.
Few month ago a new party series started in Budapest called Real Your Nature, they brought us big names from the hiphop, dubstep and abstract electronica scene like: The Gaslamp Killer, Benj B, Cinnaman, The Clonious and Virus Syndicate.
The next gig will be on 14th of January in A38 ship with Ikonika (UK, Hyperdub), Dorian Concept (AT,Kindred Spirit / Affine Rec ), and with two local DJs DST, Cadik.
So If you like heavy basses, and wicked sounds you have to be there:)
